Counting my chickens.

Well, I'm assuming that everyone has probably figured out that I'm not at home right now.  One of the benefits of being where I am is the immense amount of free time my brain seems to have which inevitably leads to planning all the activities I'm "going" to do once I get home.  I say that sarcastically because follow-through on my "post-travel" adventures has never been one of my strong suits.
Things that absolutely HAVE to get done:
Move into MY NEW CONDO!  That's right, I've taken the plunge again and bought property: just a condo this time.  The house in Florida is nice and cute but hot-damn was it a learning experience.  For example: I Hate Grass.  When I was a kid, I would be mowing the lawn and my Dad would say the typical parent response of "When you have your own, you'll understand."  Yup, I understand that it's still a huge pain in the ass to mow the damn lawn.  I'm very jealous of my cousin's Jersey Shore neighborhood with the gravel yards but knowing those mutant plants of Florida, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference.
So the condo is pretty awesome- the building was built in 1908 so I have hardwood floors (tiling in kitchen and bathroom), hot water radiators, built in cabinetry in hallway closet and bathroom, open kitchen floor plan, and (one thing I've ALWAYS wanted) clawfoot tub and subway tiling in bathroom!!!  I understand that the age of this building will carry its own issues and problems, but it's just so darn cute!
Ok, another HAVE to do: Housewarming party, duh!
Obsess over the Colorado Rapids with my SEASON TICKETS, betch! Wooo!!!!

The things I WANT to do:
Dinner party on regular basis (See The Feeding Trough on Facebook)
Host a Stitch n' Bitch
Create and host an Art Party- This one is going to be fabulous.
So a lot of my Denverite friends are amazingly artistic and creative.  So I'd like to bring these artsy fartsy people together, with their latest work where they *could* work on it at the party, mingle, get ideas/ inspiration, show off how fantastic they are and generally, we could all geek out with our crafts.  I was thinking of setting this up like a gallery in my own home and yeah, mingle.
Other than that, the Want to do list is the one I've had ever since moving to Denver:
Go hiking/ camping
see more concerts/ plays
have a generally kick-ass time- which knowing you fine people (the ones that actually bother to read this, haha) I know is bound to happen, sooner or later. :-D
